Parent Teacher Association
We have a vibrant and very supportive group of parents who work hard to ensure we have a proactive Parent and Teachers Association. The Association was formed a number of years ago to provide a further link between home and school and strengthen and develop relationships between all concerned. All families are automatic members of this association and we welcome grandparents who offer us so much.
Throughout the school year the PTA organises a number of functions to enable us all to mix socially and to raise very necessary funds for essential resources which enhance the school curriculum.
A PTA email account is available should you need to contact us [email protected]
Where we meet
All members of the school and parish community are actively encouraged to attend our PTA meetings.
Annual General Meeting
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place at the start of each academic year.
Minutes of the meetings and accounts are attached below and are available to view at the school office.
Committee
We have a growing and vibrant Parent & Teachers Association and all parents and extended family members are most welcome to all meetings and events.
This year, as a result of several committee members stepping down, we have not got officially nominated committee members but we hope to train new recruits so they feel more comfortable in role for next year. School leadership, Sarah Langstaff and former Chair, Rachael Arnold, will lead on communications for our annual events this year.
At our AGM in September 2022 we hope to appoint new committee members to the PTA.

PTA weekend
Each Autumn Term we have a PTA Welcome Weekend.
Generally, we have a fun and informal evening in school, followed by a walk locally. This is a social weekend to get to know other parents and support school life.
Autumn Fayre
In late Autumn term we have our annual Autumn Fayre. This is held in the school hall and adjoining classroom areas. It is one of the main fundraising events of the school year. We aim to raise over £3000 in our Autumn Fayre.
We have many different stalls, including Nail Art, Face Painting, Pick a Tick for a Prize, Guess the name of the teddy, Toy Stalls and Tombolas. Every class also contributes to the craft stall and it is successfully organised by our thriving PTA.
Everyone enjoys the tea and mince pies and it wouldn't be Christmas without the first visit from Santa! Everyone who visits him gets a present and a photo to remember the event!
A good time is always had by all!
Thanks to the generosity of our parents and children, we raise lots of money to support school funds at our annual Easter egg raffle. The children bring in Easter eggs and in our special assembly, raffle tickets are selected to see who the lucky winners are.
Our Summer Fayre, or as it is now known - 'The Purple Pip Market' has a range of stalls in the playground.
On the day of our Fayre we also have a talent show. The show is led by our Year 6 comperes.
We aim to raise over £1000 each year for school funds.

Fundraising
The PTA regularly donates to the school, supporting school functions such as the Christmas Fair, the Easter Egg raffle, the First Holy Communion and the Summer Family Fun Night.
Over the last few years, they have given significant monetary contributions, including:
-covering part of the costs for trips for this academic year
-money for classes to use to purchase useful classroom and playtime resources
-buying new books for the new School Library and new books so that each class has a dedicated author
-money to support the ‘Grumpy Gardeners’ upkeep of school grounds
-significant contributions to subsidise our annual pantomime trip
-purchasing of liturgical altar cloths for classroom collective worship
-the purchase of the new school football kit
-purchasing of new digital video recording system and class ipads
Volunteers
We are extremely grateful for our regular parental and parish volunteers who come to school to listen to readers and support in class.
If you or a family member are able to offer support to school we would welcome you to contact the school office, Mr Conway or Miss Brady. Class teachers would really appreciate reading support, 2-3pm on one day per week.
