Mrs Smith is our class teacher. We are helped in our classroom daily by Ms Cole who supports our class in various activities.
We are the youngest class in Key Stage 2. This year we are being introduced to new activities including: Cross Country, Swimming and French!
Because of our current risk assessment measures in relation to COVID 19, extended school clubs are not taking place this year (2020-21), therefore, our Year 5 children were unable to complete the upload of Webwatcher news.

We have reviewed our curriculum offer in Autumn to assist the recovery process for all our pupils following their prolonged absence from school as a result of school closures in March 2020. We aim to reignite the flame of learning in each child by restoring the children’s mental health and rebuilding their resilience allowing them to become resilient learners again.
In addition, the attached parent’s letter provides details of Religious Education topics.
Each term our Year 5 children upload information collated from each class as part of one of our Extended school Clubs. All information below is written by the children for parents and interested parties to gain a deeper insight into what fun and interesting activities each class are partaking in each term.

Year 3 Autumn Term 2019
This term Year 3 have been learning about Journey through Time. This term Year Three have been learning about Stone Age people, which has been very interesting.
In Literacy they have been writing a biography about Roald Dahl. Year Three have been learning about and writing about Greek myths. Year Three have been learning all about how to feed a baby and have used this knowledge to write information texts. Recently Y3 have been drafting a scary story! This week Y3 have been writing an exciting recount.
In Numeracy they have been learning how to add numbers and how to subtract them. They have extended their learning on how to add and subtract three digit numbers. This week Y3 have been learning how to multiply numbers and divide them. This week Y3 have been dividing and subtracting using different techniques.
In Science they have been learning about the life cycle of plants. Year Three have also been investigating about the life cycle of plants with the Grumpy Gardner’s using daffodil bulbs. This week Y3 have been planting their own daffodils!
In P.E they have been learning about gymnastics
In P.E they have been doing movement with Mr Peacock. With Mrs Smith the children have been learning how to do Greek dancing. This term Year Three have been practicing playing ball games. This week Y3 have been playing hand ball and performing gymnastics.
In R.E they have been learning about Judaism .Year Three have also been looking at baptismal promises.
