Governor Spring term 2020 Update
Our Governors are a dedicated group of volunteers who regularly visit school to support, monitor and challenge school performance.
Governor roles and responsibilities are reviewed annually and in our December meeting the following roles were established:

- Mrs M Bilous and Mr J Shiel, our Chair and Vice Chair of Governors, liaise with the Trust central team to support Governor Induction; Health & Safety & Risk Management; Appraisal; Appeals and Concerns.
The full Local Management Board meet each term with a focus on Finance and Raising Achievement.
In the last month, we have had several Governors to school:
- Mrs Mary Bilous, our Chair of Governor, meets weekly with Mr Conway to discuss whole school developments and she visits Reception in her Class Governor role
- Mr Finn has been inducted to the role as new Parent Governor.
- Mrs Brady has met with Miss Brady to discuss EYFS developments and monitor school’s readiness for their Quality Mark assessment last half term. The Quality Mark is a nationally accredited judgement to assess a school’s provision for providing the necessary basic skills for the children in their care.
- Mr Mike Wren visited Year 1 to introduce himself as their new Class Governor
- Mr Jonathon Willett and Mr Paul Benfield have visited Year 3 and Year 6 respectively to meet the children; discuss their roles as Governors and see the fantastic work in class.
We thank all our Governors for their time and commitment and look forward to further visits in the next few months.
