Winston’s Wish Thursday 21st March On the penultimate day of term we will invite the children to bring wellies into school to raise money for the wonderful charity #winstonswish This is a charity that supports children experiencing grief. They will have the opportunity to splash in some puddles and mud! We will have a bucket in school to collect any donations. 

Lenten Mass Visits Y3 will walk to Church today. Y4 are walking to church 15.3 and Y2 will walk to church 22.3. If you are able to walk to church with us on any of these dates, please meet us in the school office at 11:30am 

The children will all eat their lunch before going to Mass and be back for 1pm.

Y4 Retreat. The whole of Y4 will be attending a retreat day on Wednesday 20th March. They will need a packed lunch. We will be back before 3pm.  

Easter Egg Raffle The Easter Egg Raffle will be held on the last day of term (Friday 22nd) Your child will come home with a letter and some raffle tickets. Please note this year each ticket costs £1 so please add name and number to a ticket. Please can all Easter Eggs be donated in school from 19.2. We look forward to one of the great St Bernadette’s traditions!  

Red Nose Day Children can wear red and we will host a cake sale too! 

Bags 2 school The collection date is Wednesday 13th March. We will not be able to accept any clothes after this date. 

Lockdown Procedure. As part of our safeguarding policy, the school completes a lockdown practice once a term. We call this a hide form the head so that children do not feel anxious. We do not share the procedures for safeguarding reasons. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask your child’s class teacher. We will be completing a lockdown practice this half term at some point within the school day. 

Tempest Photography The children will have their photo taken on Monday as part of their class photos.
