Week Beginning 2nd December  2023   Please see school calendar for events coming up! School Calendar

This weeks round up. We really loved the snowy day, what a gift! The Christmas Fayre was a huge success. Thank you to our PTA for their hard work, this wouldn’t have happened without them! Miss Brady worked with children to evaluate our schools RE and Catholic life, they were incredible! We welcomed the NPCAT Posada doll on Friday which was a really special and spiritual event. Y5 children enjoyed sports leader training and some of our Y5 children visited Sacred Heart for the spelling bee competition.

Christmas Party Children can come to school in their party clothes on their year groups party day. All children can wear a Christmas jumper on Christmas dinner day (Wednesday 20th)

Christmas Eve Mass This year we will be celebrating Christmas Eve with a special family Mass. The children will be invited to dress up and take part in the Mass. Please complete this form if you think your child will be attending. This year we will invite all children to dress up as whatever they would like. Older children may prefer just to be in their Christmas Best!  https://forms.gle/vApHiMG8sJfXZpCH6

Light up a star Your child will be coming home with a ‘light up a star’ leaflet from Butterwick Hospice. The idea is that you write a name on a star of someone you would like to remember at Christmas time. If you bring the star into school we will add it to our special remembrance tree. We ask for a small donation towards Butterwick Hospice for each star (£1 for example)

Schools Out Please note there will be no Schools Out service Friday 1st (Autumn Fayre) and Friday 15th (Staff event) We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Please also note that we currently have a vacancy for a Schools Out Assistant for January 2024 for up to 12.5 hours. Please speak to Miss Brady for further details.

Choir Our wonderful choir have many events to look forward to in the coming weeks. The children will then visit the Town Hall on 5.12 for the ‘Schools Big Gig’ and then visit Nunthorpe Hall on 20.12 to sing for the residents. Mrs Conway has sent out separate comms regarding these events.

Punctuality. I will be live streaming on Thursday morning at 8:45am on Instagram to show you how hardworking the children are when they get straight into  their Maths Mastery. The story will stay live for 24 hours.

Instagram We will be trying to live stream all of the Christmas productions  too over the coming weeks. (Technology permitting) Instagram is a private account, please do not share any stories or posts. If you do not have a recognisable Instagram  handle we may message you to seek clarification of identity.

Have a wonderful weekend!
