Week Beginning 2nd December 2023 Please see school calendar for events coming up! School Calendar
This weeks round up. Our Mini Vinnie’s loved their trip to the Cathedral to meet other SVP’s from the diocese. We celebrated World Youth Day in our assembly on Monday and thought about how important the children are to God. Wednesday was a busy day and the children really enjoyed their pantomime, a visit from Grangetown Netball and a group of children took part in a Dodgeball competition!

Parent Consultation Please complete this questionnaire to give us vital feedback on the school. We will receive forms until Friday 1st December when we will share the analysis with you. This process is so important to ensure we always endeavour to be the best we can be for our children, so really appreciate your feedback. https://forms.gle/fgXeetbYHoQymjhL7
Attendance Thank you so much for your support with attendance this year. I am delighted to share that our attendance is well above our average for this time of year and well above national average.
Punctuality At 8:40am every morning, when I shut the gate, I wander around school to check on all of the children. It is delightful to see them all stuck into their Maths Mastery immediately. This is why getting children into school for 8:40am is so important as they miss vital teaching time if they are late. Thank you so much for your support in this matter.
Aspirations Week We have planned an aspirations week for week beginning January 14th. This will involve (hopefully) lots of people coming into school to discuss their chosen careers with the pupils. Please contact school by completing this Google Form if you would like to take part in this, or know someone who would like to be involved (relatives, friends.. any careers!)

Family Mass We are celebrating World Youth Day and the feast of Christ the King on Sunday at 9:30am. It would be lovely to see you there.
Wednesday Word to share with your family https://www.paperturn-view.com/uk/wednesday-word/kindness?pid=MTA101634&v=110.1
Christmas Eve Mass This year we will be celebrating Christmas Eve with a special family Mass. The children will be invited to dress up and take part in the Mass. Please complete this form if you think your child will be attending https://forms.gle/vApHiMG8sJfXZpCH6
Light up a star Your child will be coming home with a ‘light up a star’ leaflet from Butterwick Hospice. The idea is that you write a name on a star of someone you would like to remember at Christmas time. If you bring the star into school we will add it to our special remembrance tree. We ask for a small donation towards Butterwick Hospice for each star (£1 for example)
Rainbows Our Rainbows program will begin in January as we await resources to use with the children to be delivered.
