Music – Instrumental Lessons I have had lots of enquiries about instrumental tuition recently, which is wonderful.  Many children have lessons in school and some learn with private tutors out of school. There are two options available if you would like your child to learn an instrument in school. The lessons need to be arranged and paid for by parents/carers, however they are delivered at school, during the school day.

Tees Valley Music Services (TVMS) TVMS teachers come into school and provide individual tuition (they can teach in groups if there is enough interest for a particular instrument) on many instruments. You can find details of what they offer, costs and details of how to sign up through their website: https://www.tvms.org.uk/tuition

Rocksteady Bailey, one of Rocksteady’s band leaders, comes into school every Tuesday morning to deliver group sessions. The children can learn to play: drums, keyboard, bass, electric guitar or vocals and collectively choose the songs they wish to learn and play in their bands.

There are some spaces available for certain instruments in the bands. If you are interested or would like further information including costs please visit their website: https://www.rocksteadymusicschool.com/

Please ask if you have any queries. Warmest regards, Mrs Conway – Music Coordinator

Have a wonderful weekend,

his weeks round up  Some of our children had a wonderful time at a golf tournament this Friday. Our Y5 sports leaders had a fantastic afternoon with Josh thinking about ways to improve sport at lunchtimes. The House Captains were introduced to the school and their buddies were very proud! The children have been amazing all week!

Please can children attending golf or martial arts bring PE kits to change into rather than wearing all day.

Attendance Please see this link for important guidance and support for assessing if your child is well enough for school.

There is wide agreement among health professionals and educational professionals that school attendance is vital to the life chances of children and young people. Being in school improves health, wellbeing and socialisation throughout the life course. The greatest benefits come from children and young people attending school regularly.
