Welcome to Year 4! 🌟
Welcome to Year 4! Our class teacher is Miss Beech, supported by our wonderful teaching assistants, Mrs Arnold and Mrs Wildbure. We are looking forward to an exciting year filled with learning, fun and new experiences!
In Year 4, homework focuses on reading, spellings and times tables, with children encouraged to practise regularly using Times Tables Rock Stars in preparation for the Multiplication Tables Check.
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday, and children should come to school wearing their full PE kit. We will also be taking part in swimming lessons this year!
We have lots of exciting topics to explore, including the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, rivers, living things and states of matter, alongside developing our skills across the curriculum.
Our Catholic faith is at the heart of our classroom. Our Catholic Social Teaching focus is Dignity, reminding us that everyone is special and valued. We will also be visiting our local care home, putting our faith into action through kindness, love and service, helping us live out our school mission “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John, 10:10).
Above all, we want Year 4 to be a happy, safe and welcoming classroom where every child feels valued, grows in confidence and is encouraged to be the very best they can be.
We can’t wait to share all our wonderful learning and achievements with you!
